About Marcus Bergin Gardening
Marcus Bergin Gardening is a gardening and grounds maintenance business based in Bishop's Cleeve, led by Marcus Bergin, who has more than 25 years of professional horticultural experience. The business provides regular garden maintenance, specialist lawn care and commercial grounds maintenance for private gardens, residential developments and community spaces across Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and the surrounding Gloucestershire area.
Regular garden maintenance includes lawn mowing, strimming and edging, border weeding and deadheading, pruning of shrubs, roses, perennials, hedges and fruit trees, and seasonal tidy-ups. Visits are arranged weekly or fortnightly depending on garden size and maintenance needs. During the first visit, priorities are discussed and the work that will need regular attention is identified. Work changes through the seasons, with some visits concentrating on keeping growth under control and others allowing time for pruning and preparing the garden ahead.
Specialist lawn care begins with an assessment of the lawn's condition, soil, drainage and problems. Treatments include seasonal feeding, weed and moss management, scarification, aeration, overseeding and lawn renovation. The business recommends only work appropriate for each lawn's condition and time of year.
Commercial grounds maintenance covers grass cutting, lawn edging, hedge and shrub maintenance, border care and seasonal clearance for residential developments, communal grounds, playing fields, retirement communities and churches. The team covers Bishop's Cleeve, Cheltenham, Prestbury, Charlton Kings, Winchcombe, Gotherington, Southam, Woodmancote, Stoke Orchard, Teddington, Gretton, Dumbleton, Chedworth, Cirencester and surrounding towns and villages for domestic work, with commercial contracts considered across a wider area within approximately one hour of Cheltenham.
