What is a gardener's day rate?
£150 to £200 for a general gardener and £180 to £280 for a landscape gardener. London pushes that up to £250 to £380. Two people together cost £250 to £500 a day, which is often better value on a garden that has got away from you.
How many visits does a medium garden need?
Around 16 to 20 through the growing season if it runs fortnightly from March to October, plus two or three in winter. Weekly mowing suits fine lawns in high summer. Most rounds settle somewhere near 20 to 24 visits a year.
