About Green Goose Gardens

Green Goose Gardens is a garden design and landscaping business in Brighton and Hove run by co-founders Craig Harrison and Syen Palmer. The business designs and builds gardens, carries out hard landscaping with fences, decking, pergolas and arbours, and provides soft landscaping including tree and shrub planting and wildlife gardening. Services also cover garden renovation and clearance, pruning, hedge trimming, lawn mowing and lawn care, and planting and transplanting.

The business works across Brighton and Hove and surrounding areas of Sussex. Craig comes from a project management background and Syen trained at Plumpton College, where she was part of a team that won a gold medal at the South of England Show and designed a memorial garden at Chailey Heritage Foundation. Syen also designed the Sussex Square project, which won a Sussex Heritage Trust Residential Award. Syen holds a Diploma in Garden Design.

Garden design begins with understanding what the client needs and creating a space that heightens the outside experience. Hard landscaping provides structural elements and form, while soft landscaping adds the living planting. Recent projects include a contemporary cottage garden designed to open up the space, a classic cottage and country garden with hard landscaping and planting, and a sloped garden with a garden room, covered hot tub and sunken seating with a fire.
