About Gloucester Garden & Property Maintenance
Gloucester Garden & Property Maintenance is run by Jon Tory, a gardener based in Gloucester. The business offers garden maintenance for homes and businesses across Gloucester and surrounding areas. Jon has gained experience from work in construction, engineering, computing and animal care, and has studied plants and ecology. He previously ran a similar business in Shropshire before moving back to Gloucester.
The services listed are hedge trimming and shaping, tree work including reduction and removal, weeding by hand and chemical control, digging over soil, planting, lawn mowing and edging, grass fertilising, fencing repairs and replacement, installation of ground coverings such as gravel, slate and wood chip, garden clearance, and some pest control for regular clients. Jon also builds raised beds, log stores and garden sheds, and lays patios. Property maintenance jobs around the home are considered on request.
Jobs are charged at a day rate of £240, which includes petrol tools. Tree removal can be quoted at a fixed price. For longer projects or those requiring materials, a deposit may be taken, with the remainder paid after completion. Green waste is composted or recycled where possible; waste taken away costs £30 per bulk bag. Jon has a waste carriers licence and holds public liability insurance. An initial visit is made to discuss the garden and agree pricing and schedule. Work can be completed in one visit or spread across regular appointments.
