Woodcroft Arboriculture

About Woodcroft Arboriculture

Woodcroft Arboriculture is an arboriculture business based in Chester, run by Silas. The business specialises in large reductions and mature tree care, covering all areas of tree management from planting to removal. Services listed are domestic tree care, commercial tree care, tree and hedge planting, woodland management, tree surveys and aerial inspections, soil health and root pruning, stump grinding and removal, and storm clearance.

Woodcroft Arboriculture works across the North West and North Wales. Silas was trained in arboriculture by the City of London at Epping Forest and worked as a self-employed climber in north London before moving back to Chester, where he worked for the Grosvenor estates tree team. The business follows British Standard 3998 and recommends work according to each tree's health, though it will recommend reduction or removal if a tree poses a serious risk to people or property.

All staff hold City and Guilds or NPTC qualifications for their role and First-Aid qualifications. The business is insured for up to £5 million. Green waste is recycled, suitable wood is cut and seasoned for firewood, and mainly electric tools are used.
