About Minor Oaks Tree Services
Minor Oaks Tree Services is a tree surgery business in Nottingham run by Christopher, who is a fully qualified NPTC City and Guilds tree surgeon. The business carries out tree work, hedge services and garden maintenance for domestic and commercial customers across Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas.
Tree services include felling and removal of any size of tree, trimming and pruning for health or aesthetic reasons, and planting single saplings or large-scale schemes. Specific pruning methods offered are pollarding, coppicing, crown raising, crown reduction and crown thinning. The business assesses tree health and offers care advice. Hedge services cover trimming to establish shape and size, removal of any length of hedge, and planting or replacing hedges. Species and location advice is given for both trees and hedges. Garden work includes clearance and preparation for building, general maintenance, aerating and scarification.
Christopher has worked with trees, gardens and hedges since 2014. He trained at Park Hill Training in Loughborough and completed his working at heights qualifications. His experience includes six months pruning fruit trees on a commercial cherry orchard in New Zealand, work with apple trees in Australia, and managing a landscaping business in Perth for eighteen months. The business operates seven days a week from 7am to 9pm, with a 24-hour emergency call-out service for hazardous trees caused by storm damage or other dangers. Christopher works to reduce his carbon footprint and operates in an ecologically sound way, including turning removed trees into useable timber with a chainsaw mill.
