About Brighton Landscapes

Brighton Landscapes is a garden design and landscaping business in Brighton and Hove, founded in 2015 by Jonny Lewis. The business designs and builds outdoor spaces including patios, fencing, decking, turfing, hedging, raised beds, retaining walls, steps and planting schemes. It also builds custom furniture and fixtures such as fire pits and oak lounge chairs.

The services cover porcelain, natural stone and block paving laid with proper sub-bases and drainage. Fencing is installed in close-board, slatted, picket or trellis styles using pressure-treated timber, with concrete posts and gravel boards replaced where needed. Decking is built in softwood, hardwood or composite on solid frames with proper fixings and ventilation. Turf is laid after rotavating, levelling and preparing the ground, and irrigation can be added. Hedging plants include laurel, privet, box and beech, planted at the right spacing with mulch. Raised beds are built in sleepers, brick and stone, and retaining walls are designed with drainage and proper foundations for sloped gardens. Steps are built in stone, brick, sleepers or porcelain. Planting schemes are designed to suit soil, light and maintenance preferences.

Brighton Landscapes works across Brighton and Hove. The process starts with a free consultation to measure the space and discuss ideas. Sketches and 3D renders are produced so customers can see the design before work begins. Once approved, the team builds the garden to the agreed plan.
