Glorious Gardens

About Glorious Gardens

Glorious Gardens is a garden design business based in Brighton and Hove, run by Andrew Staib. It designs gardens across Sussex, from small town gardens and compact courtyards to larger plots. Andrew has more than 30 years of experience in design, planting, build guidance and aftercare.

The business offers three levels of service. A one-hour consultation covers an initial site visit where Andrew listens to ideas and gives direction on priorities. A one-day design session produces sketches, planting suggestions and a practical overview. A full design service includes professional survey, soil analysis, CAD drawings, hand drawings, material samples and a written report, followed by build support and a maintenance plan.

Every garden starts with a conversation to understand how clients live and what they want from their outdoor space. Andrew then develops a design using shape, colour, mood and proportion. The process includes a draft meeting to share initial ideas, a master design presentation, refinements, and a quotation for implementation. Glorious Gardens can quote to build the garden, tender work to contractors, or prepare a maintenance plan for aftercare.

Andrew is also a practicing artist with an interest in photography, which brings sensitivity to colour, composition and form. He founded Glorious Gardens Sussex in 2010. The business has designed over 250 gardens across Brighton, Hove and Sussex locations including Storrington, Lewes, Horsham, Arundel and Worthing. Andrew also runs Glorious Woodlands, designing new woodlands or renovating existing ones on private land.
