About Anglian Garden Services Ltd
Anglian Garden Services Ltd is a landscape contracting business based in Chelmsford. It carries out garden maintenance for private gardens and commercial sites, including housing estates and company grounds. The services listed are garden and grounds maintenance, contract management, landscaping with hard surfaces such as patios and block paving, tree and shrub planting, turfing and lawn care, fencing repairs and construction, and garden design.
The business covers Chelmsford, Colchester, Braintree, Brentwood, Basildon, Rayleigh, Maldon and beyond, serving all parts of Essex and East Anglia. Garden maintenance is performed by trained staff who stay in contact with their supervisor and manager by mobile phone. Patio work begins with careful preparation and the correct hardcore foundation to prevent future movement of slabs. Natural sandstone and factory-produced slabs are available in different textures, colours and laying patterns. Planting around patios softens the lines and makes gardens feel established. Fencing ranges from close board panels to willow or hazel. Lawns are re-seeded or newly laid, and a maintenance programme keeps them in condition. Tree and shrub planting draws on a huge range of sources, and pre-planted containers can be supplied and delivered.
Anglian Garden Services has traded since 1992. Ian Costello, the proprietor, graduated in horticulture at Writtle Agricultural College in Chelmsford. Ian is a member of the Royal Horticultural Society and the business has an ongoing relationship with Writtle Agricultural College for staff training. On landscaping projects, the business keeps the site clean and tries to complete on schedule to minimise disruption.
