Tree Squadron is a family-run tree surgery business in Cardiff run by Phil Boniface, a fully qualified tree surgeon with City & Guilds and Lantra qualifications in horticulture, climbing and chainsaw use. The business removes problem trees, grinds and removes stumps, prunes branches, surveys trees, carries out high-access tree surgery for tall trees, trims and shapes hedges, clears sites and gardens, and provides grounds maintenance for schools, parks and estates. Work is carried out in accordance with British Standard BS:3998:2010.

Tree Squadron covers Cardiff, Newport, Penarth, Chepstow, Cowbridge, Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan. Phil learnt his trade in Kent and previously worked at a well-known tree surgery company in Cardiff. The business was established in 2017. The team includes Sam as Operations Manager, Pat as Team Leader and Climber, and Mike as Grounds Team Leader, all fully qualified arborists and tree surgeons.

Tree Squadron is an ARB approved contractor and CHAS Accredited business. Each team has a woodchipper and tipper vehicle, and wood chips and wood are taken off-site and recycled. Free quotes are provided. The business checks for diseases such as ash dieback in trees across the region.
