Tom Roberts, a Suffolk arboriculturist with 11 years of experience in commercial, domestic and utility arboriculture, set up the company. The team carries out tree removal, tree surgery, crown reductions, dead wooding, stump grinding, hedge cutting, pollarding, site clearance and log splitting. Dangerous tree assessment and emergency callouts are also offered.

The business covers east Suffolk from Sudbury to Felixstowe, Diss and Lowestoft, including Ipswich, Woodbridge, Framlingham, Martlesham and beyond into Norfolk and North Essex. Tree Frog works for domestic and commercial clients, including construction sectors and estate management contracts.

The staff are fully NPTC City and Guilds qualified and insured for up to 5 million pounds. Trees are cut to British Standard BS3998 to leave them in good health and shape after pruning. The business uses modern rigging equipment and techniques for large difficult dismantles, and owns machinery including a 16-tonne road towable log splitter for firewood, and an Avant with flail for hedge and paddock cutting. Site clearance work uses felling techniques and modern machinery. Stump grinding removes stumps below ground level to a depth of 100mm or 200mm. All staff hold Emergency First Aid qualifications.
