About Stara Tree Contractors
Stara Tree Contractors is a family-run tree surgery business based in Bradford. It has been trading for over 26 years and serves Bradford, Baildon, Huddersfield, Halifax, Leeds and surrounding areas of West Yorkshire. The business fells trees in a controlled manner by assessing size, lean, structural condition and surrounding hazards to determine the safest direction of fall. It carries out crown reduction, which decreases overall height or spread while maintaining natural shape, and crown thinning, which selectively removes smaller branches to reduce canopy density. Crown lifting removes lower branches to increase ground clearance, and pollarding cuts upper branches back to a set height to control size. The business also provides hedge trimming and maintenance, tree and stump removal, and stump grinding to remove stumps below ground level.
Stara Tree Contractors holds City and Guilds NPTC qualifications in wood chipping, cross cutting timber using a chainsaw, ground based chainsaw operation, felling and processing trees up to 380mm, and oversize tree dismantling with rigging technique. The business adheres to BS3998:2010 standards and holds CHAS accreditation. It is fully insured and offers free quotes. Waste disposal is environmentally responsible. The business is available 24/7 and provides complete tree and stump removal to leave outdoor spaces clear and tidy.
