About Special Branch Tree Surgeons Ltd
Special Branch Tree Surgeons Ltd is a tree surgery business based in Rochdale. It removes trees, grinds stumps, clears sites and carries out pruning work on trees in gardens, parks and construction sites. The services listed are felling and removal, stump grinding, site clearance, formative pruning, crown lifting, pollarding, crown thinning and crown reduction.
The business covers the Rochdale area and works for homeowners, landscapers, building contractors and other tree surgeons. All operatives are trained to City and Guilds standards and educated in tree management. Work is carried out to British Standards, and the business provides risk assessments and method statements where required.
Stump grinding uses a mechanical grinder that reduces stumps to chippings mixed with soil, creating mulch that can be used for replanting, turfing or as a weed-inhibiting layer in flowerbeds. The machinery is versatile and can work close to walls, patios and other structures. Access through a standard 30-inch garden gate is usually sufficient. Shields and boards are used to contain chippings during work, and the area is left tidy afterwards.
Special Branch also supplies seasoned logs and woodchip mulch from its farm. The logs are split and ready for burning, and the business is BSL Authorised, meeting standards set by the Biomass Suppliers List. Woodchip is available for woodland paths, play areas and horse riding arenas. Orders of ten bags or more receive free delivery within the local area, or an extra bag is supplied for collection.
