About SG Tree Services
SG Tree Services is an owner-run tree surgery business based in Alford, Aberdeenshire, serving Aberdeen and the North East of Scotland. The business carries out tree felling, tree dismantling, crown lift, crown reduction, hedge trimming, hedge reduction, hedge removal, stump grinding and removal of tree waste off site. Wood chips are available. The team works for private gardens and commercial properties.
The business covers Aberdeen and surrounding areas throughout the North East. Stephen runs the company and leads a qualified team. Work begins with a thorough inspection to assess the trees and hedges, and a free quote is offered. Tree pruning removes dead, diseased and dying branches, improves the overall appearance and lets more light into the tree. Crown reduction and crown lift reshape trees to improve their health and structure. Stump grinding removes stumps to below ground level, creating extra space in gardens. Branches growing through overhead wires are dealt with, and trees that have become unstable in storms are made safe.
SG Tree Services is available 24 hours a day for emergencies and regular maintenance. The business checks with local authorities to ensure any permission required is in place before tree removal work takes place. Hedge services include trimming, reduction and complete removal. Tree planting advice is offered based on years of experience in the trade. The team removes tree waste from site and supplies wood chips on request.
