About Ox Tree Surgeons
Ox Tree Surgeons is a tree and hedge care business based in Oxford. It carries out tree felling, crown reduction, tree thinning, removal of dead wood, specified limb removal, crown lifting, pollarding, and planning and planting of trees. Hedge services include trimming, reduction, removal and planting. The business also offers stump grinding and ash dieback treatment. Work is carried out for domestic and commercial clients across Oxfordshire and surrounding villages.
The team is trained in first aid and aerial rescue. Woodchips and logs from jobs are recycled rather than sent to landfill. Crown lifting follows the Highway Act of 1980, which requires clearance of at least 2.3 metres over footpaths and cycle tracks, and 5.3 metres on roads. Dead branches are removed to prevent them falling on people or property. Tree thinning allows more light and air to reach the canopy, and crown lifting removes lower branches to increase clearance and enhance shape. When trees are felled, debris is managed and the property is left clean and safe.
Ox Tree Surgeons holds public liability insurance and employer's liability insurance. The business supplies trees from saplings to mature specimens and can arrange regular watering after planting. Limb removal focuses on maintaining tree health and appearance with clean, precise cuts. Hedge planting is planned according to individual requirements.
