Moorland Tree Care

About Moorland Tree Care

Moorland Tree Care is a family-run tree surgery business based near Exeter, run by Adam, the owner and lead arborist. The business carries out tree removals, pruning, stump grinding, tree inspections, habitat creation, props and bracing, tree planting and emergency tree work for homeowners, businesses, schools, councils and developers across Devon.

Adam trained in North Wales and spent several years working in New Zealand and Australia, including work on seed collecting from the Centurion tree. He returned to Devon with international techniques and local knowledge. The business covers Exeter and surrounding areas including Exmouth, Honiton, Sidmouth, Crediton and Tiverton, and can reach most Devon locations within one hour from its base near Whiddon Down Junction.

Jobs start with a site visit and free quote. For commercial work, the business creates risk assessments and method statements before starting. Tree waste is recycled as mulch, firewood or timber. Moorland Tree Care has traded for over 10 years and works with developers on site clearance and tree protection plans, with schools on scheduled maintenance, and with utility companies around overhead power lines. The business also advises on tree planting schemes, replacement planting and ongoing maintenance schedules. Stump grinding uses compact equipment for tight spaces, and the team leaves sites clean and tidy after completion. The business holds public liability insurance.
