About Masons Tree Surgery Ltd
Masons Tree Surgery Ltd is a tree surgery business in Colchester. It removes trees of all sizes, grinds and removes stumps, clears sites of trees and vegetation, and carries out crown reduction, crown thinning, crown cleaning and crown lifting. The business also trims hedges, plants trees and shrubs, manages vegetation control, and provides woodland and estate management. Emergency tree work for storm-damaged or fallen trees is available 24 hours a day.
The business works for domestic, commercial and estate clients across the local area and surrounding communities. Jobs start with a site assessment to look at the tree or area and discuss what is needed. A quotation sets out the agreed work, access requirements and how timber and green waste will be handled. On the day, the team prepares the working area, uses equipment suited to the job and takes care around buildings, gardens and neighbouring property. The site is left safe and tidy once work is complete.
Crown reduction uses selected growth points and retains a balanced framework rather than leaving large indiscriminate cuts. Regrowth varies by species, age, health and the amount removed. Tree felling is planned around access, the direction of fall and protection for nearby property. In confined locations, a climber can dismantle the tree in sections and lower timber carefully to the ground. Branches can be chipped and timber cut into manageable sections or removed. Masons Tree Surgery Ltd is fully insured and offers free assessments and quotations.
