Malpas Landscapes and Designs is a family-run landscaping business based in Newport. Gareth Leek runs the business with his two sons, Calvin and Rhys, who have been with him for 14 years and 8 years respectively. The business has traded for 30 years since 1994 and carries out garden design and construction.

Services include 3D design and installation, porcelain and natural stone paving, linear screening, artificial grass, retaining walls, raised beds, outdoor lighting and water features. The business takes on one project at a time, dedicating all resources to each job until completion. Work begins with a site visit, and the team attends every working day until the garden is finished.

Malpas Landscapes owns a large collection of equipment and machinery, including mini diggers and angle grinders, so the correct tools are available for every task. The business orders and supplies all materials needed, collecting them daily to avoid leaving piles of waste, soil or aggregate on the customer's drive. Excavated soil and waste are removed by the business, and large projects involving many tons of material are handled with minimal disruption to drive space.

Payments are taken once work is underway. The team cleans up at the end of each day and leaves the site spotless when the job is complete. Recent projects include complete garden overhauls, small garden canopies and landscaping for returning clients.
