About JS Tree Services Ltd

JS Tree Services Ltd is a tree surgery business based in Aberdeenshire. It carries out crown reduction, crown thinning and crown lifting for commercial properties, and also provides precision dismantling, tree felling and stump grinding. The business works for homeowners with small garden trees and for estate managers with acres of woodland.

Crown reduction prunes trees that have grown too large for their surroundings, leaving them in a natural look and reducing the need for future work. Crown thinning removes secondary branches to create a balanced crown structure and improve light levels through the canopy. Crown lifting removes branches to give clearance underneath for people and vehicles.

Precision dismantling removes trees in challenging environments using rigging and lowering equipment to control the fall and prevent damage to property. Tree felling is carried out after a risk assessment, and the business addresses complications such as nearby buildings and confined spaces. Stump grinding uses a cable avoidance tool to check for buried services, then a stump grinder works to a depth of approximately 6 to 12 inches below ground. The grindings are backfilled into the hole, and excess is removed from site.

JS Tree Services operates across the North East of Scotland. All staff are fully qualified and experienced in domestic and commercial tree surgery. The business brings its own equipment, including hedge cutters, hedge trimmers and chain saws of various sizes. Prior to any tree pruning, tree surgeons provide a detailed inspection and consultation.
