About Ground Control By Major Tom

Ground Control By Major Tom is a landscaping and gardening business based in Brighton and Hove. It carries out garden clearances, hedge cutting, tree removal, pruning, turfing, decking, patios, brickwork, pointing and garden maintenance. The business also undertakes garden renovation, garden redesign, woodwork and landscape design for homeowners.

The business covers Brighton and Hove and the surrounding areas. Work begins with an initial consultation where Tom discusses the customer's ideas, budget and timeline. A detailed project proposal follows, setting out the design ideas, separate stages when required, and time and cost estimates. The team then implements the design, handling all aspects of the landscaping project. Final touches ensure every detail is completed before the project finishes.

Ground Control By Major Tom works for homeowners on projects ranging from single repairs to complete garden transformations. Recent work includes garden wall repairs using heritage materials, garden wall rebuilds, front and back garden landscaping carried out in stages, overgrown garden clearance and wildflower meadow creation, and major groundworks and front garden remodelling. The business also provides regular garden maintenance visits covering lawn mowing, hedge trimming, weeding and small jobs. Customers receive free quotations and specific plans prepared to fit their budget and timescales. The business troubleshoots issues and difficulties that arise during projects and consults directly with customers before any changes to cost or deadline.
