About Granite City Tree Surgeons Ltd
Granite City Tree Surgeons Ltd is a family-run tree surgery business based in Aberdeen. It carries out tree pruning, crown shaping, tree felling, stump grinding, ivy removal and emergency tree work for domestic customers. The business also installs garden decking in composite and timber, and builds garden fencing.
Tree work includes reducing tree size to let more sunlight into gardens, shaping overgrown branches, removing sick or dead trees, dealing with fallen branches after storms, grinding out stumps and levelling the ground, and removing ivy over four metres high. Decking installations use composite boards and softwood timber in a range of colours and finishes. Each decking project starts with a site visit to assess the garden, followed by ground preparation, frame installation and fitting. Waste disposal is included, and the business can advise on planning permission with Aberdeen council.
Granite City Tree Surgeons has traded for over 15 years. The team includes fully trained climbers, ground staff and consultants. Tree surgeons hold MPTC, CPCS and CSCS training. The business covers Aberdeen and uses advanced machinery for stump grinding, with both above-ground and underground cutting capacity. Up to 120 litres of organic waste disposal is included in stump grinding work. The business is fully insured and follows industry-standard practices to avoid underground utilities. Sawdust can be turned into mulch or compost, or cleared from the site.
