About GFX Ground Effects Ltd

GFX Ground Effects Ltd is a landscaping business based in Preston that operates throughout the North West. The business designs and builds outdoor spaces including gardens, courtyards and patios, working with hard landscaping elements such as paving, retaining walls, fencing, lighting and water features, alongside soft landscaping with trees, plants, turf and planting beds. The work is design-led and craft-driven, with precision and material quality at the centre of every project.

Projects begin with a site visit and consultation to understand the space, lifestyle and objectives. A detailed concept plan follows, often with scaled drawings and mood boards showing materials, planting schemes and layout suggestions. Some projects include 3D visuals or virtual walkthroughs. The design phase can take 2 to 6 weeks including client feedback and revisions, while the build itself may range from 2 to 12 weeks depending on site access, size, features and weather conditions. GFX Ground Effects assesses planning considerations before projects begin and can liaise with local authorities on compliance.

The team includes nine staff members. The business works collaboratively to create spaces that complement the architecture they surround. Hard elements define shape and function, while soft elements bring life, colour and texture. The business designs gardens that enhance property appeal and resale value.
