About Falcon Tree Management Ltd
Falcon Tree Management Ltd is a tree surgery company based in Edinburgh covering Stirlingshire, Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Scottish Borders, though it works across Scotland. The business carries out crown thinning, crown reduction and crown lifting to manage tree shape and sunlight, deadwooding to remove dead and diseased branches, tree inspections to assess condition and defects, and tree removal when necessary. Fruit tree pruning, site clearances, small and large tree dismantling and commercial felling are listed services. The company also offers stump grinding, on-site timber milling, and bespoke furniture making from wood on the property.
Falcon Tree Management Ltd is run by Antony Wood, a climbing arborist based in Stirling who has worked with trees for ten years, travelling internationally on large technical removals using helicopters and cranes as well as smaller projects. The team includes Tom Hatcher, a tree surgeon in Edinburgh since 2013, and Ryan Anderson, a qualified tree surgeon who joined in 2020. The business uses battery-powered chainsaws and hedge trimmers on all sites to reduce environmental impact, and plans to use solar power to charge equipment in future. Wood chip is used for biomass and good timber is milled on site and made into handmade furniture. Jobs start with a site visit to discuss needs and find the right approach.
