Eaglestone Gardens

About Eaglestone Gardens

Eaglestone Gardens is a garden design studio based in Bath, working across the UK. It designs immersive gardens and habitat landscapes defined by wild, sweeping colour and naturalistic planting. The business creates gardens for country estates and urban retreats, from small city courtyards to sweeping rural landscapes.

Tom Eaglestone trained at Capel Manor and launched the business in 2007. He has won the Association of Professional Landscapers Award for Overall Design and Build and a Gold Medal in the Planting Design Category. Tom worked as a Design Associate for Arne Maynard, overseeing complex international and UK projects. Ailsa Eaglestone joined the studio after twenty years in the charity sector, with experience in sustainable building using cob, timber and straw. The studio uses a light-handed approach to let nature thrive, creating organic extensions of the home that reflect the history of the land and the client.

Tom specialises in pairing habitat-rich landscaping with precise levels and technical detail. Every project starts with a visit to get to know the land and hear what matters to the client. The finer details are worked out on-site. Gardens are engineered yet feel organically evolved, marrying sophisticated structure with wild abundance. Recent projects include a formal garden at Bathwick Hill with views across Bath, terraced gardens at Colerne in Wiltshire, and a long-term Arts and Crafts project in the Bisley Cotswolds.
