ARB UK

About ARB UK

ARB UK is a tree surgery business based in Oxford, founded in 2015 by James Prior. The business carries out tree removal, tree felling, tree pruning, crown reduction, crown thinning, crown lifting, pollarding, hedge trimming, stump grinding and stump removal for homeowners, commercial clients and local authorities. All work follows British Standard BS3998 2010.

The business covers Oxford and surrounding areas of Oxfordshire, including High Wycombe. James Prior is a qualified arborist with over two decades of experience as a tree surgeon, including extensive work in Welsh forests. The team comprises dedicated professionals who work together on residential and large-scale commercial projects.

ARB UK is an ARB approved contractor accredited by the Arboricultural Association and holds public liability insurance. Work begins with a site assessment and consultation, and a free quote is provided before any work starts. The team uses advanced techniques and equipment, including a stump grinder for removing stumps of any size. Sites are left clean and tidy once the job is complete. Crown reduction reduces the height and spread of a tree's canopy to improve light penetration and air circulation while maintaining its natural shape. Pollarding involves regularly pruning trees back to a head of branches to stimulate new growth and rejuvenate mature trees. The business also treats diseased trees and removes dead or damaged branches.
