About Ace Tree Services
Ace Tree Services is an arborist business based in York. It carries out tree felling, tree surgery, stump grinding and hedge trimming for domestic and commercial clients across North Yorkshire. The services listed are crown reductions, crown thinning, lifting, deadwooding, sectional dismantling of dangerous trees, stump grinding, hedge cutting and trimming with complete green waste removal.
The business covers York, Selby, Stamford Bridge, Castle Howard and the Howardian Hills, and can travel further if required. Ace Tree Services has over 10 years' experience and operates to BS3998 standards set by the British Standards Institute. All work is carried out by NPTC City and Guilds qualified arborists. The business holds £1m public liability insurance.
Jobs begin with a free site survey and written quote. Stump grinding uses mechanical removal to take out tree stumps and root plates, leaving ground ready for replanting. All timber and brash is recycled locally into wood chippings for garden landscaping, log firewood for domestic heating, and sustainable fuel for biomass boilers and power stations. The business maintains a zero-to-landfill policy for green waste. Arborists are trained in chainsaw operations, tree climbing, aerial rescue, safe use of pesticides, emergency first aid and mobile vertical equipment operation. The business advises on potential future issues with trees and helps with new tree planting.
